No. We believe in 100% transparent pricing. The quote we give you is the final price you pay. There are no surprise charges or hidden fees at any stage of your move.
Q9. What factors affect the cost of moving?
The cost of your move depends on several factors including:

- Volume and weight of goods

Q10. Do you charge extra for stairs or no-lift buildings?

📅 Category 3 — Booking & Scheduling
Q12. How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 7 to 10 days in advance for local moves and 15 to 20 days for intercity or long-distance moves. For peak seasons like summer and month-end dates, earlier booking is advised.
Q13. Can I book a same-day or next-day move?
We try our best to accommodate urgent moves. Subject to vehicle and team availability, same-day or next-day bookings may be possible. Call us directly for urgent requests.
Q14. Can I reschedule my move after booking?
Yes. You can reschedule your move by informing us at least 48 hours before the scheduled date. Rescheduling is free of charge in most cases.
Q15. What if I need to cancel my booking?
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the moving date are eligible for a full refund of any advance paid. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a small cancellation fee.
Q16. Do you move on weekends and public holidays?
Yes. GoPackMovers operates 7 days a week including weekends. For public holidays, please confirm availability at the time of booking.
📦 Category 4 — Packing & Handling
Q17. Do you provide packing materials?
Yes. We provide all necessary packing materials including bubble wrap, corrugated boxes, foam padding, stretch wrap, and packing tape. Packing material costs are included in your quote.
Q18. Will your team pack everything or do I pack myself?
Our team handles all the packing for you. If you prefer to pack some items yourself, you are welcome to do so — just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Q19. How do you handle fragile items like glassware and electronics?
Fragile items receive special attention. We use multi-layer bubble wrap, foam cushioning, and custom-sized boxes to ensure breakables like glassware, crockery, mirrors, and electronics are transported without damage.
Q20. Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
Yes. Our team handles complete dismantling of beds, wardrobes, and other furniture before the move and reassembles everything at your new location at no extra cost.
Q21. What items do you NOT move?
For safety and legal reasons we do not move:
- Hazardous or flammable materials
- Illegal substances
- Live plants (for long-distance moves)
- Perishable food items
- Pets and animals
🚛 Category 5 — Transportation & Delivery
Q22. How do you transport goods?
We use a fleet of modern, well-maintained trucks and tempos of various sizes depending on the volume of your goods. All vehicles are GPS tracked for real-time monitoring.
Q23. Can I track my shipment?
Yes. All our intercity moves come with GPS tracking. You will receive regular updates on your shipment status via phone or WhatsApp throughout the journey.
Q24. How long does delivery take?
Delivery time depends on the distance. Local moves within Chennai are usually completed in one day. Intercity moves typically take 2 to 7 days depending on the destination.
Q25. What if my goods are delayed?
While we always strive for on-time delivery, unforeseen circumstances like weather or traffic can occasionally cause delays. In such cases we will keep you informed and do everything possible to minimize the delay.
Q26. Will my goods be mixed with another customer's goods?
For full-load moves your goods travel in a dedicated vehicle. For smaller loads we offer a shared transport option where goods from multiple customers may be combined — this is always communicated clearly upfront.

Q27. Is my goods insured during the move?
Yes. We provide transit insurance coverage for all goods during transport. In the unlikely event of any damage or loss, your goods are covered under our insurance policy.
Q28. What should I do if something is damaged during the move?
In the rare case of damage, inform our team immediately upon delivery. Document the damage with photographs and contact our support team within 24 hours. We will process your claim promptly and fairly.
Q29. How do you ensure the safety of my valuables?
Valuables like jewellery, important documents, and cash should be carried personally by you. For other valuables we use sealed, labelled boxes and maintain a complete inventory of all packed items.
Q30. Do you do a pre-move inventory check?
Yes. Before packing begins our team creates a detailed inventory of all your goods. This list is signed by both parties and used to verify that everything arrives safely at the destination.

Yes. GoPackMovers provides secure, clean, and insured storage facilities for both short-term and long-term needs. Our warehouses are monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day.

Yes. We offer safe and reliable car and two-wheeler transport using enclosed carriers and flatbed trucks. Your vehicle is insured and delivered door to door.
Q35. Will my vehicle be driven or loaded onto a carrier?
Your vehicle will be loaded onto a transport carrier — it will NOT be driven to the destination. This ensures zero kilometres are added to your vehicle during the move.

Vehicle transport typically takes 3 to 7 days for intercity moves depending on the distance and route.
